Brown Dog Adventure Tours offers half day and full day wade fly-fishing tours of a variety of rivers in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.

These rivers, such as the Davidson and the Mills, are within a short walk of the road and are easily accessible by anyone. Our patient and friendly guides will teach the novice in casting techniques, reading the river, and local ecology. They will dedicate ample time to each client, ensuring an overall quality experience. Depending on skill levels, weather and current fishing conditions, our guide will select the appropriate river for each client.

The Great Smoky Mountains Ultimate Fly-Fishing Experience

Float The South Holston River

Located just 70 miles north of Asheville, The South Holston River is home to some of the country's largest Brown trout.  Our guides put more hours on this river than anyone and know where to locate these large trout.  Take a leisurely float down the river as our guides help you hook the fish of your life.  This all day tour is great for people of all skill level; beginners will get in-depth instruction while experts will get a chance to tone their skills.

The Backcountry Track

Float The French Broad River

When the trout are not biting or if time is a constraint, floating the French Broad is an alternative. The smallmouth bass that call the French Broad home put up a fight that will turn the light-hearted fisherman into a die-hard angler.

This scenic river flows directly through Pisgah National Forest and is known for its abundance of smallmouth bass. Leave everything to your guide as they will teach you all there is to know about how to catch these fish.
